Dr. David Baker grew up in Papillion-LaVista, a suburb of Omaha, NE. He moved and graduated from West Nodaway R-I High School in Burlington Junction, MO. He attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha and graduated in 2007 with his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. He earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Doane University in 2015 and his Educational Doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University in 2021.

The 2023-24 school year will be Dr. Baker's 16th year in Education. In his first nine years, he served as a social studies teacher, dean of students, head football coach, head wrestling coach, and head boys track and field coach for Westside Community Schools in Omaha, NE. In 2017, he moved back to Missouri and transitioned into an administrative role at Sparta Middle School as the Principal. In 2022, he accepted the High School Principal position with Pleasant Hope School District. Also, while at Pleasant Hope, Dr. Baker served as the head football coach.

Dr. Baker and his wife, Taylor, welcomed their first daughter, Clarke. Another daughter is due in October. Taylor is a volleyball coach for the Tamales Volleyball Club and a teacher. They also have two yellow labs, Samantha and Patton.

During his downtime, Dr. Baker enjoys running and recently completed his second half marathon in November 2022. He love sports but is passionate about football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Cincinnati Bengals.

Mrs. Ravens moved to Southwest Missouri in 2009 to attend Missouri State University. She graduated in 2013 with her bachelor’s degree in English and, again in 2018, a master’s degree in Secondary Administration. Mrs. Ravens is working on her Doctoral Degree in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri Columbia.

Mrs. Ravens strongly believes in the power of learning and the positive impact school can have on a child’s life; she is excited to be a part of the Cardinal team!

Dr. Margo Griffith

Dr. Margo Griffith is stepping into the role of principal at Niangua Elementary School at the start of the 24-25 school year. Her journey in education began over two decades ago, serving as a second-grade teacher in 2000. Since then, she has had the privilege of teaching across various grade levels, from 1st to 5th, and even sharing her passion for learning at the university level. Each classroom experience has enriched her understanding of the profound impact education has on shaping young minds.

Her academic journey has been a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication. She obtained both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Missouri State University, where she laid the groundwork for her career in education. Building upon this foundation, she earned her specialist and doctoral degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia, deepening her knowledge and commitment to educational leadership.

For the past five years, she has had the honor of serving as a building leader at both elementary and middle school levels. During this time, her passion for supporting teachers, students, families, and the community has only grown stronger. She firmly believes that by empowering teachers, we can create environments where students flourish and thrive. Her heart is steadfastly committed to ensuring that every member of our educational community feels valued, supported, and equipped for success.

As she embarks on this new chapter at Niangua Elementary, she is filled with excitement and anticipation. The Niangua Community is full of warmth and unity, and Dr. Griffith is eager to be a part of the collaboration, growth, and excellence as we work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where every student can shine. Dr. Griffith is honored to be a Cardinal and looks forward to serving alongside the Niangua family.

Clint Gazette is the JH and HS Principal.

Clint received a Bachelor's Degree in Education and History from Drury University and began his teaching career in Ava, Missouri. Clint has coached multiple sports including girls basketball, girls softball and cross county. Clint continued his education with a Master's in Education Administration from Missouri State University.  He joined Niangua in 2015 and is beginning his 20th year in education.
