Our school nurse will begin screening for scoliosis next week! Girls in grade 5 and all students in grades 7 and 8 will be screened. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please let the school nurse know by returning the forms sent out or contacting her at the school.

It is with deep gratitude and humility that Dr. Margo Griffith is stepping into the role of principal at Niangua Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year. Her journey in education began over two decades ago, serving as a second-grade teacher in 2000. Since then, she has had the privilege of teaching across various grade levels, from 1st to 5th, and even sharing her passion for learning at the university level. Each classroom experience has enriched her understanding of the profound impact education has on shaping young minds. Her academic journey has been a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication. She obtained both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Missouri State University, where she laid the groundwork for her career in education. Building upon this foundation, she earned her specialist and doctoral degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia, deepening her knowledge and commitment to educational leadership. For the past five years, she has had the honor of serving as a building leader at both elementary and middle school levels. During this time, her passion for supporting teachers, students, families, and the community has only grown stronger. She firmly believes that by empowering teachers, we can create environments where students flourish and thrive. Her heart is steadfastly committed to ensuring that every member of our educational community feels valued, supported, and equipped for success. As she embarks on this new chapter at Niangua Elementary, she is filled with excitement and anticipation. The Niangua Community is full of warmth and unity, and Dr. Griffith is eager to be a part of the collaboration, growth, and excellence as we work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where every student can shine. Dr. Griffith is honored to be a Cardinal and looks forward to serving alongside the Niangua family.

Congratulations to Rylie Hall, David Stuber, and Ross Stuber for their first place finish in the dairy cattle judging contest at the Willow Springs Show-Me Showdown. Ross was the high scoring individual with David in second place. Rylie had a very respectable day and finished as the fourth place individual. Strong work by Niangua FFA members!!!

Good Afternoon, We will have another informational meeting to discuss the upcoming April ballot and Proposition 345 (Tax Levy Increase). The meeting will be held on Friday, March 29th at 6:00PM. We will be in the Small Gym. Following the meeting, the Spring Music Program will be in the Big Gym at 6:30PM. We hope to see you all there!
